What is your creative work?
Watercolor Doodle pet portraits and cacti/plant/flower murals.
Tell us how you started your business / creative venture?
My creative venture began back in October 2017 when I lost my 14-year-old Boston terrier, Angely. I used to draw when I was a kid and stopped when I was about 10 or 11 years old. Angely inspired me to draw again.
How long have you been doing your creative work?
For three and a half years now.
What made you choose this journey?
“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
What kind of struggles did you face in your journey?
It was hard to pursue your dream while others saw it as just a cool hobby. Not everyone sees it as something serious.
What is one advice you can give to creatives struggling right now?
I believe that the only thing that can stop you from being happy is yourself. You must do what you love and surround yourself with the people that love you for who you really are.
Share a quote you live by. It can be yours or something else that inspires you!
There is always something positive or a good lesson that comes out of our “bad” moments in life.
Are there any products you recommend that helped you better your craft?
I explore different types of paint that I feel comfortable with. I love to use Behr paint for murals.
How can people learn more about you and your business?
What are some resources that have helped you succeed?
Instagram giveaways helped me a lot to expose myself.
