Tell us how you started your business?
I first created the name of my business in 2015. I thought of the name because I would never disclose my location on social media. It was always labeled “not Earth”, so then when I had the idea to start my business I decided to named it Knot Earth with the intention to sell clothes. I was thrifting items and recreating them into new designs.
After doing that, I took time away and decided that fashion wasn’t the direction I wanted to take. I like making clothes but it wasn’t something I wanted to make a business out of. So with that being said I started my shift towards what I was passionate about. So today at Knot Earth, you will find crystals, incense, and more!

What makes you different from the competition?
I believe I’m different because my product offering is different. My vision for Knot Earth is more than just selling crystals. Currently, I’m also training for my doula certification and I can’t wait for that to be service I offer to people. There’s other product offering I have and other ideas for my business that are different but you would have to see! I don’t want to give away too many secrets just yet!
Other than that, I feel as if there aren’t many black owned metaphysical stores. The ones that I know of are white owned and it’s cool to see that me along with other black women are showing that we hold weight in this space too. We are interested in these things as well.
