This week we introduce: Glorious Moments Photography. A husband (Justin) and wife (Glorianna) photography team based in Atlanta, GA. Specialized in Authentic Wedding, Intimate Event, and Elopement Photography.
How did you start doing what you’re doing?
I have always loved photography since I was a little, but I never thought that this would be real job. On the other side, I love design! So, I took advertising as my major. Little did I know, they required one photography class for my major. Since then, my love for photography grows again. People would ask me to photograph them left and right. When I graduated, I moved to Atlanta. I found a job, but it wasn’t something that I want to do for a long time. So, when I was planning my wedding (it was pretty magical because Justin, my husband, was my first boyfriend!), I decided that I want to focus more on photography and look into wedding photography. My wedding photographers were awesome. They gave me some insights, and they even let me second shoot with them. After lots and lots of second shooting, I was convinced that this is what I am here for! Marriage is such a beautiful thing! And as of September 2017, I am proud to say that I do wedding photography full-time, y’all!
Name one or two struggles of doing the craft you do. How did you overcome them?
The biggest struggle for me is self-doubt. In my business, we have to be on top of our game on social media, which was awesome, but also bad. Sometimes I would look at other people’s work and started to compare myself with them. BIG NO NO! I have learned to be better and more confident everyday, and I know when a couple books me, they’re getting the best out of me! And I am proud of my work
How do you deal with creative block? What would you advise others?
I would read more magazine and blogs. These people inspire me. Besides that, I like to walk around. I can be inspired anywhere!
Do you feel like you have support for your craft, and how important is that support to you?
Yes, I believe so. I have a support system here! It is super important. As an entrepreneur, I have faced so many challenges that I don’t think I could’ve overcome without the support I have today. We all need the people that believe in us. We need people that will tell us this is just a little bump, and in the end, we’ll do great things!
Any regrets on doing art for a living? Why?
What’s one thing you would’ve done differently back then, since you know more now?
I would charge more?
How do you plan on expanding? Where do you see yourself with business?
I want to be excellent at what I do first, then I want to train people to treat couples the way I treat them—with love and kindness. Hopefully, one day I will have a team of photographers focus more on the couple’s relationship and encourage their marriage from the beginning!
